DOCK & BOAT LIFT WEED REMOVAL · AUSTIN, TX

Dock and boat lift weed removal

The water around your dock is where weeds cost you the most: jammed lift cables, clogged water intakes, fouled props, and a boat you can barely get out of the slip. We clear it by hand, right up to the pilings.

Short answer

We manually remove hydrilla and other lake weeds from boat slips, around dock pilings and lift cables, and along the path your boat takes in and out. Everything is cut at the base and hauled away, with no chemicals.

Problems we fix around docks and lifts

  • Props wrapping in weed every time you back out of the slip
  • Engine water intakes pulling in plant material and running hot
  • Boat lift cables and cradles fouled with a mat that makes lifting harder
  • Swim ladders and dock edges nobody wants to climb down into
  • Jet skis and PWCs sucking weeds into the pump intake

How we clear a dock

Tight spaces are where machinery can't work and herbicide use is most limited, so hand tools are the right fit here. We work the slip first, then the area around pilings and lift hardware, then the approach lane. We cut stems at the base with underwater blades and rake the surface mat out. Then we bag everything so it can't drift back in or root at the next dock over.

Keeping it clear

Hydrilla can regrow from tubers in the sediment, so a dock in a heavy area usually needs a follow-up. Our seasonal maintenance visits keep the slip open all summer for less work each visit.

Questions

Can you clear weeds without damaging my boat lift?

Yes. We use hand tools, not machines, and we work around lift cables, cradles, bunks, and any electrical lines on the dock.

Do I need to move my boat?

It helps if the boat is lifted or moved out of the slip so we can clear the whole footprint. If that isn't possible, let us know and we'll work around it.
