SHORELINE WEED REMOVAL · AUSTIN, TX
Shoreline weed removal for lakefront property
Shallow, sunny shorelines are where hydrilla gets established first and comes back fastest. We clear the edge of your waterfront so it looks like lakefront again, not a marsh.
We remove hydrilla and other submerged weeds along lakefront shorelines and in the shallows by hand, cutting at the base and hauling all material away. It works well for private waterfront homes and HOA common areas.
Why shorelines matter
Shallow water warms up early and gets plenty of sunlight, which is ideal for submerged weeds. Growth that starts along the bank can spread outward toward your dock and swim area. Clearing the shoreline is often what keeps the rest of your waterfront from filling back in.
What shoreline clearing includes
- Removing surface mats and rooted growth in the shallows along your frontage
- Cutting stems at the base with underwater blades
- Clearing along retaining walls, bulkheads, and rock edges by hand
- Bagging and hauling off all removed plant material
For HOAs and neighborhood waterfronts
Community parks, boat ramps, and shared swim beaches are a good fit for a maintenance schedule. Call us to talk through the size of the frontage and how often it needs to be cleared.
Service area
Available on Lake Travis, Lake Austin, Lake LBJ, Lake Marble Falls, Canyon Lake (by request), including lakefront homes in Lakeway, Steiner Ranch, Horseshoe Bay, Kingsland, and Marble Falls.
Questions
How far out from the shore do you clear?
It depends on depth and where the growth is. We'll walk the shoreline with you and agree on the area before we start.
Do you remove cattails or plants on the bank?
Our focus is submerged lake weeds like hydrilla. If you have something else growing, text a photo to (775) 856-9005 and we'll tell you whether it's something we handle.
